Gumpoldskirchen. 1815 . 40 ha
In Gumpoldskirchen, thanks to the optimal climatic conditions, hundreds of unique wines have been thriving for years. As early as 1549, the ancestors of the Aigner family were mentioned as winegrowers under the name “Schwanberger”. In 1955 Robert Aigner took over the family business and began to build a modern winery as it is known today: Aigner is now one of the most efficient wineries in Austria. The cooperation with selected winegrowers from Lower Austria and Burgenland as well as state-of-the-art technical standards guarantee high-quality wines. The most famous and popular varieties are the Green Veltliner and of course the original Heurige.
